Karol and Victoria's wedding at Jasna Polana is a good reminder of why this estate is one of my favorite venues to film in New Jersey — you get a grand, sweeping staircase for the formal moments and 230 acres of gardens and grounds for the quiet ones, all in the same afternoon. As their wedding videographer, I try to let a venue like this do some of the storytelling on its own.

This is the shot I keep coming back to from Karol and Victoria's day — no pose, no direction, just the two of them walking hand in hand through the estate's garden gate, right before everything picked back up.

Between the ceremony and reception, we walked the grounds for portraits — an ironwork garden gate against old stone, a quiet stretch of lavender along the walking path, and a few minutes with Victoria and her parents before things got underway. It's the kind of coverage 230 acres makes possible that a single-room venue just can't.
